Tehnovation 2013

Tehnovation is the competition for the best innovation, organized by TehnoCenter at the University of Maribor and the Styrian Chamber of Commerce, aimed at promoting the innovation culture and highlighting innovative individuals and businesses. In 2013, we will select an innovation in the field of sustainable technologies (clean-tech). Final presentation of the innovations will be held on the 2nd day of the PODIM conference, in a form of a one-day event, which will also host researchers and business experts active in the commercialization of innovation. The winner, who will be selected by a jury of experts, will be awarded an - "international innovation voucher" - of 5.000 EUR.

Who can apply?

Small and medium-sized businesses (including entrepreneurs), researchers and other individuals and groups who wish to present their innovations in the field of sustainable technologies.

What innovations are eligible?

You can sign up innovations in the field of sustainable technologies that meet following definition:

''Sustainable technologies or "Clean-tech" are products and services that improve performance, productivity and efficiency by simultaneously reducing costs, inputs, energy consumption, waste and pollution, and include, in particular recycling, renewable energy, green transportation, information technology, advanced materials, electric motors, green chemistry and lighting.''

How can I sign up?

Participants can apply through the online form, which includes the description of the problem, description of innovation, innovator, and description of the need for investment, partnership and technical assistance in further development or marketing of innovation.

Why it pays to participate in the selection?

In addition to the opportunity of presenting innovations to potential investors and business partners and media, the winner will be awarded a non-reimbursable cross-innovation voucher in the value of 5.000 EUR which can be used for services of the winner’s choice in project FORT partner countries (Germany, Italy, Slovakia, and Hungary).
